Thread: 8GB of DDR3

Ahh ok. So here is the deal. The 1GB 6950 does NOT have the switch to revert BIOS. It also does not easily accept the software unlocks. The 2GB 6950 DOES have the switch to revert BIOS and SOME of the older reference models accept the BIOS unlocks readily.

I think after all this research I will stick with the 6870. It just doesn't make sense forcing myself to a 2GB card when I do not have the capability to go over 1080.

I think I will be quite happy with the 1GB 6870.

Here was my final build if anyone is curious it should all be here wed along with my new verizon DSL modem (Take that Comcast). I should be up and gaming late wed. night.
