Video Card BIOS question
ok, so I am running 2 5870's
#1 - Sapphire Vapor X OC
#2 - Sapphire normal card (referrance) older one
Seeems to run fine but I do get some weird black outs of part of the screen when gaming sometimes. Card Temps are all under 50C when gaming long. I noticed that the BIOS are not the same. Would it be wise the flash the older one with the same bios as the newer card? I did notice too that the voltages are not the same compaired in each bios.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Remy

I wouldn't flash the BIOS unless you are going to gain some sort of functionality, such as higher clock speeds, unlocked shaders, etc. You should probably keep the the BIOS as is.
Do you have the latest Catalyst Profiles as well as drivers? I know in the past, I couldn't get some games to run correctly without having the updated Profiles. Also, what resolution are you running?

Re: Video Card Bois question
I am running 1920 X 1200. I have the latest profiles and drivers. Been playing around a bit before I do any flashing. At first I had the new Vapor X installed in the 1st postion and everything ran great. When I would go into GPUZ it would show the 2 different bios's for each card. Now I have to run the old card at the top due to a new GPU cooler and GPUZ only reads the older bios for each card. So it seems with the older card up top, the newer card is defaulting to the older bios. Don't know if that makes sense but that is what I am seeing in GPUZ. As well, the new card is getting higher temps that it ever did. Weird.
BC2 ran great with newer card on top but has some issues when I switch them around. That is why I was thinking the conflicting bios might be the reason. I dont know why the newer cards would change it's heat temps, nothing has changed in the case.
