Newegg.com - Toshiba Q Series HDTS225XZSTA 256GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
A 256GB SSD for $150? With Toshiba's NAND and Marvell? I don't have a whole lot of money right now but this is REALLY damn tempting. All the benchmarks I've seen put it on par with some of the best performing SSDs out right now.Howlin Mad Murphy liked this post

Re: SALES! (Tech and Game Gear)
Um, ok. Help me out on this one because I don't get it at all.
It's: a fan.
It's in your case. Where does looks enter into it? This isn't a ceiling fan, or a window fan, or a fan on a stand that sits on counter or floor.
I want it to move more air and/or make less noise. The only thing I want to know about the guy who designs the visual aesthetics of the fans is that he got fired so that the company can sell me a fan that works just as good and costs less.
If the majority of reviews of fans on newegg mention the way they look, then I just learned all I need to know about the value of fan reviews on newegg.
What am I missing?

LOL functionality should be what people are talking about; you are correct. Some people just like to color coordinate their fans to match their case. People don't like the noctua ones because they are light beige frames with dark brown blades; they definitely stick out like a sore thumb (maybe that's the idea the marketing people went with?) and you know the second you see one that it's a noctua fan.
In my opinion - the color isn't enough to keep me from buying them. They are great fans that move air and are more quiet than the competition. Perhaps some people put a little too much emphasis on aesthetics, but it can be important to some people. I myself have a black/orange theme going on with my case/keyboard/mouse - but none of my fans are visible through the case so I don't really care what color they are
