If you have a case with no window or mesh that allows you to see the fans, then sure. On my case, there are 8 x 120mm fans that are visible, and they are all black and grey (Gentle Typhoon AP-14). While I think Scythe makes a great fan, I feel that they are simply ugly to look at.
That being said, the HTPC in my bedroom has 2 x Scythe 80mm fans and a Scythe CPU cooler. One of my retro rigs also has 3 Scythe fans in it. Since I can't see them, I decided Scythe was a great choice based on CFM and DB ratings.

Some people are into aesthetics. My case has a huge window on the side of it. I don't want some turd colored fan in my case, regardless of how well it performs. I can find other fans that perform as well and look a lot nicer doing so. If the interior of my case was not visible, I wouldn't care.

Re: SALES! (Tech and Game Gear)
Thanks for the serious responses. I have to admit that my post was mostly just posturing and spouting off.
I think case windows and interior lighting effects are silly, but I won't get down on a brother for dressing up their rig. Sisters either. I think it's good that people take an interest in their gear, and pride is part of that.
My personal preference is for understatement. That's an aesthetic statement too.
Salty's got a good point - if you look at a fan and can instantly tell that it's a Noctua, then mission accomplished for the Noctua marketing dept.
Cheers,

The three main versions of Bitdefender are all on sale for $29.
Note:
-All three work with W8, however there is still a separate W8 bitdefender. The only thing extra it offers is "app scanning" I think, which is meh...unless if you just love to use that metro app window yo. It is not on sale. The other three are and fully support W8.
-If you already have Bitdefender go to the upgrade page, it will charge you the normal price to upgrade, which is more expensive than just buying a new licenseenf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Cool. That's a damn good deal. Just so happens I have a buddy looking to buy/build and we were looking at a Ryzen 7 build for ~1250... Soon as I saw your post I went "GET THIS INSTEAD". Warranty and prebuilt is worth it by itself, but those parts are almost 400 bux off retail.
