TBH. No it will not run BF3 that well. Probably could run it, but not well. The 5xxx series was not optimized to run DX11 games. The 6xxx series was just some revisions done to the 5 series. For instance lower power consumption, lower temps, and better optimization for tesselation and dx11. With that said, the 5570 is not the strongest card either. If you compare the 5570 to the 5850, huge huge difference in performance.

Now the 5850 was king back 1-2 years ago, but now it is pretty middle class among the 6870, 560 Ti, 6950, 6970, 570, 580. So that gives you an idea about how weak the 5570 is now.

EA announced that BF3 was not played on high settings and they were using a 580. That shows us that BF3 is going to be a bit tough to run. So whether or not the 5570 can run it, it's most likely it'll run it. Just not really well, I'd say 40 FPS @ low. But even then, just speculation.

Not much of one but it is there.

I just need the card that will run a single monitor as well as possible that's DX11 capable. If I just wanted speed I'd hop back over to my old Nvidia 260 but it's only DX10.

Just use your 260. Trust me, you don't need DX11 yet. The only time you'll need it is when BF3 comes out or the games later this year. As of late, devs still use DX9/10 because of the consoles dragging the PC's back.

Some games are using DX11, and to be perfectly honest, the ones with the superior graphics. There is nothing wrong with being prepared for the future. I would not recommend buying a 5770 at this point. Wait until we get closer to the BF3 release and upgrade then. You will likely find something with much more power for the same price of today.

Most are still using DX9 because the improvements from 9 to 10 were miniscule. I know DiRT3 is DX11 but that's all I know for sure. The 5570, as mentioned before, hasn't had any problems at all so far. But after reading up on the specs I was worried about how it would perform with BF3. This is the driving force behind me needing a new card is only for BF3.
