Thread: Firefox 5

They're adopting the Google release cycle, so only whole number releases. Dotted releases are for bugfixes and security patches only. I disabled add-on compatibility for the one add-on that said it wasn't compatible (Firemeld), and it works just fine. Most add-ons should work fine in 5, because it's not a huge jump and there weren't many changes made to the add-ons code.

Neither one makes sense really. The only thing that makes sense is to pick one system and stick with it, which nobody can do (look up version numbering history of Java SE for example).
