I've never had a problem with UPS just leaving stuff on my doorstep. FedEX on the other hand... always seems to want a signature.

Send it to a ups store.....they will gladly accept packages for you....$5 a box i think....give em a call

The signature request is dependent on the sender of the package, not the carrier. Sometimes a driver simply will not release the package because of fear of theft in that area. Driver discretion...
