Re: Battery Life and Android phones
Installed the firmware update that the Thunderbolt got yesterday. Still not gingerbread (Android 2.3) yet. However, I have to say that the update must have had some battery life issues addressed as I am seeing a much longer battery life post update than previously.
Additionally, now the option to alternate between 3G(CDMA) only or 4G(LTE)/3G(CMDA) is available.
I may still opt to go with Juice Defender though as an added level of control (pending WileE's and Enf's reports)

Re: Battery Life and Android phones
So I lasted about 12 hours yesterday at Summerfest, facebooking, playing games, and tweeting pictures I was taking all day with about 15% battery left by the end of the nite. Not too bad I think, but I feel that some more tweaking needs to be done with my settings. Im losing data connectivity a lot when I unlock my phone and try to access the internet for anything. I think its something with conflicting settings I have though rather than dumb logic in the app. I think its trying to connect to Wifi when I really want data. Regardless, I think its doing a great job and have recommended it to all friends and family that are Android users.
It says its saved me 1.48x my battery in the last 48 hours. I think that sounds abour right.
Hopefully a higher sample of people can help with people on the fence as well.
