Re: Power Supply for Sale
Looking over pics of the case type you have all I can offer is to say install with the fan down. I think the only way to know really is to have the case and PSU in hand. So let me know if you still interested in it. If not I will see if anyone else wants a shot at it before I try else where.

What case do you have Kraker? I'll go check his computer thread, see what it is. But usually cases have the holes to mount the PSU facing in either direction (up or down).
Also, the PSU fan is ALWAYS going to be an intake. I have a crappy little 350 watt sitting in a box behind me from 2002 and its fan is an intake.

Assuming it is this case:
Newegg.com - SIGMA UNICORN UNICORN-WB Black 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Then, yes, the PSU will work because the fan will be facing down. That fan IS an intake fan (the way to tell is the curve of the blades, they always curve in the direction they will swing, like if you were swinging a Scythe, and the blade is also concave, the bulge of the blade is the back of the blade), like I said before. The point of the PSU fan is to push the cooler air onto the hot components. If it was pulling air from the back, the air wouldn't make as much contact with the components, and the point is to also get as much hot air OUT of the case as possible, not dump more in it.
You should be perfectly fine and good to go with that PSU, Kraker, sweet deal. Is it too late to offer $160 for it?Last edited by DancingCorpse; 08-17-11 at 09:58 PM.

I was (mostly) joking. If he doesn't take it (but I doubt that, that PSU will work in his case no problem), I will definitely consider. I would just have to take a look at finances (moving next week for School (High performance computer in an RV! :P )), and I definitely wouldn't be able to pay you until the end of the month.

Has he made payment? If you want, I will take it off of your hands for $150 if he turns out to be a deadbeat.
