    sudden FPS drop in games

I've consistantly had 59-60 fps in l4d2, but recently (as in, today) the fps has randomly dropped during the game to as low as 30 or 25. How do I fix this? I haven't changed anything since the last time I played L4D2 at normal fps

    *sigh*

    Maintenance.

Clean your pc hardware, software, registry.
    Update drivers.
Check your settings AFTER any updates you've made to your pc, game or any settings.

It's a DROP, not something which always happened.
Australian-I feel for ya bro gaming on a piece of shit you should be twice as good at any game you play. Thats really really a scary thought. Part of me does not want you to get a new rig.

I had the same issue. I ended up giving up and just playing from my laptop. Although my drop was like 125 to 25.
