My dual monitors are on Ergotron dual monitor lx arms. Soooooo much better than default stands.

I prefer one big monitor, but that is my preference. Games at 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 just look so damn good. Some games look great on triple monitor setups, but not all games support.

When looking at monitors, input lag is the most important thing. It determines how long it takes for the monitor to react to input. It is normally not included in the published specs, so you will have to google and do research to figure it out. I recommend looking at the LCD thread on anandtech and the monitor sub-forum on HardOCP for information and reviews.

If you are going multi monitor and will have the monitors angled, I would suggest looking at IPS panels instead of TN. IPS is more expensive, but has the best viewing angles and colors. If you want the monitors to look the same, you can buy a colorometer(sp?) for about $200. It is a piece of hardware that helps you accurately calibrate colors.

The next game after BF3 I'll prolly get is GW2, but after that I will be sticking with FPS and that. Haven't you ever wondered what was in your periphial view while playing a game? Especially an fps. The other night when Partyball killed me with the repair tool I was like "wow, wtf!, I didn't even see him" and I will never see him playing on a 1 monitor set up. Check this video out. ATI Radeon 5850 One Monitor Vs. 5850 Eyefinity Benchmark with BBC2 - YouTube @ the 3:20 mark he has one monitor. @ the 5:47 mark he has an Eyefinity set up. The view is flipping beautiful compared to just one.
This is the conversation I need. I need more people trying to tell me why I should go apeshit and spend all kionds of money I don't have, lol. If I get the eyefinity set up I'll be in the dog house for ages but I'll be happy as hell and have my dream set up I've always wanted.

How do full screen games handle dual monitors? Windowed games are easy but full screen stuff like BF worry me about going this route.

I guess I should clarify. If I don't want to stretch the game resolution over 2 monitors and just want one for Teamspeak/web surfing.

Default you have to tweak to get it to stretch over two screens.

I don't believe you can run in full screen with just dual monitors. You would have to run in windowed mode to get both screens up at the same time.
