Is the new Samsung Galaxy phone going to be coming out in the US with the patent war with Apple going on? Or, should I be looking at other phones?

It's already out.....I have one. And it fucking kicks ass.

Samsung Galaxy GSII Epic 4G Touch.....The most ridiculously named phone ever. It's like they put a bunch of names in a hat, and decided to pick 4.

But the phone rocks. The screen is huge, and incredibly clear. Fast as all Hell.

I think he is talking about the Galaxy Nexus the new phone designed by Google for Android 4.0

I have heard great things, and the reason they delayed the launch was because of Steve Jobs death....

I actually work in the industry and can surely tell you there is no war. While some manufactures keep trying to be apple and do what they do. No one actually holds a candle to their product. The other companies might say their is a war but apple would just laugh and point at their numbers. The only reason android based phones where ahead of the apple iphone is because it was only on one provider. It just happens to be the provider I currently work for At&t. Now that the iphone is out on almost all major providers there is no competition believe me. If you have any questions feel free to ask guys. I know a lot about this junk like it's my job, oh wait it is my job .....

So do you have any data on the solidarity of the iPhone across the companies? Passenger in a car so I will try and find it but it may have been on the radio. But I did hear that at&t was seeing their smartphone user % lower with the iPhone and their Android numbers are going up.

Going to have to disagree with you there Balkovec. Having used both the iPhone and Android quite a lot, I can tell you that Android does in fact hold a candle to the iPhone, in fact I like my current Android phone a lot more than an iPhone. But before you (or any other iDiots) pop off, let me say that the iPhone is an excellent phone. Its just not for me. I like to tinker too much and the iPhone just does not allow for enough of that. My rooted and overclocked Defy running a custom after-market ROM is both fun and functional. I would also wager that there is, in fact a patent war, despite what you claim. Apple does not like sharing this market that they had a big hand in creating. So they are using the courts to fight against Android devices. I imagine I would too if I were in their position, though I think there will be few winners in these court fights and many losers (us the consumers)

Still loving my HTC Thunderbolt with 4G and Mobile Hotspot. That thing rocks. (oh and unlimited data too). Tethering all day long, corporate VPN no problem. Three EVE clients, 2 messaging clients and TS3 no problem.

Nuff said.
