Thread: JoeCrow Building a new rig. Suggestions?

Im looking to build a new rig and have budgeted ~$1000 (could go higher).

I havent been following the hardware scene for a while and am looking for some expert advise from our TPG hardware nerds. If you got the time to help me out I'd appreciate it

Post some recommendations for graphics card, cpu, etc.

I'm the newbie here in terms of hardware but I would check out the microcenter deal (2600k + z68 mobo) if you have one near you.

There have been several threads here recently where people have hashed out their new PC builds; most of the discussion is still germane. Look through them and they'll give you a good idea of what's available near your price point. Once you have some idea of what you might like to get, post it back here and I'm sure we can help you fine tune things.
