    Question Help With Overclocking CPU/GPU

Hey guys. I am wondering if anyone can help me overclock my CPU/GPU. I am fairly knowledgeable in the area but since I bought a new motherboard and processor it's been giving me issues. I am currently on the MSI 870-G45 motherboard and although it has an auto-overclock setting, I feel it isn't the way to go. When I attempt to overclock my CPU it messes with other settings in the BIOS and I can't figure out why. I'm on an AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus and I am currently running it at stock speeds (3.0GHz). The weird thing is that I had to lower the multiplier because by default my mother board had it set to 3.6GHz which is way higher then stock. I'll post some pictures of what I'm working with and answer any questions. I really need help on this guys as I would like to boost my CPU power for gaming purposes. Also on my XFX HD 5770 I had it auto-tune the overclock through AMD Overdrive. I posted a picture of what it set the values at so you can tell me if you think it's proper or too high.

Also I was hoping someone would be able to speak with me over the phone while i manipulate the settings and help me solve this issue. I would greatly appreciate it.

What are your frame rates and what is your goal with the overclock?

I don't know jack shit about AMD but I know the Intel side of that fence. Sometimes, there are a lot of things involved in overclocking, depending on how far you want to go.

I'll post my full specs and then give frame rates for each game. Also I am aware that games such as CS:S don't support quad core processing. So having my clock set at 3.0GHz default would probably result in lower FPS? My setup is pretty damn good for CS:S and I've seen people with worse builds pull 200+ fps.

    SPECS

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    CPU:
    AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz Socket AM3
    Mainboard: MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX
    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Video Card: XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support
    Power Supply: Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V version 2.91

    Frame Rates:

Counter-Strike: Source: I cap it at 100 fps but if I remove the cap it usually maxes at around 140. 90% of the time it stays around 90-100 fps.

Battlefield 3: Around 65 fps on low settings.

Call of Duty: Black OPS: Around 100-125 fps.
