Time for a new case.
Holiday seasons here, so I'm gunna start shopping for a new case. Mine is...crappy...
I'm havin a hard time finding the right kind cause of the way my setup is. Basically I need a case that'll cool my pc(it gets super hot in this room), and it needs a flat top cause I use the top for my mouse. This case only has 2 fans and doesn't get the job done well enough for me. Any ideas?

Re: Time for a new case.
The 300 is the one I was looking at, its the same size as my current case so I don't have to re-adjust my game play cause the mouse will be at a different height. Which is always good. I do like the bottom mounted PSU, and the amount of fans it has as well. I also don't have to worry bout my stuff fitting, and for 50$ I'm getting a decent deal. I'll keep looking though in case I see something else.
Thanks for the help so far guys. Now back to these papers so I can play tonight

One step better: the Antec Three Hundred Illusion. IMO, best value in a mid-tower case, especially when Newegg has it on sale.

My original run Antec P180 is solid on both sides and has no trouble keeping cool in south Louisiana. I even ran a C2D E6600 for a couple years with an aftermarket heatsink but no CPU fan. Had an overclocked Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB and a couple hdds in there, as well. Machine was whisper quiet and the CPU was at temperatures below what the stock heatsink+fan gave me, even while gaming (well, the GPU fan was a little noisy, but it never had to kick above 50% speed, so it wasn't too bad).
A lot of words to basically say that a side fan is not at all needed in the vast majority of builds. May be a good idea if you run a multi-GPU setup and have everything overclocked, though. But it would all be so damn noisy at that point that it would be worth looking into alternate solutions for cooling. At least, that is what I would do since I hate excess noise.
