Your ASUS board should have an Auto-tune/Auto overclocking tool that you can use in your BIOS. It basically overclocks your system until it is stable. It will likely auto overclock to about 4.4-4.5 GHz. Overclocking the 2600K is simple. All you need to do is adjust the multiplier until you reach your desired overclock. You may need to adjust the vcore voltage a bit, but if you auto-tune, it should make the adjustment for you.

Re: My Newest Build
Cool, Yea i just went with the same card since I'm going to be using crossfire.
Cool, that's what I thought I read, but I wasn't sure. Some said that it was in the bios others said that it was in windows, and I can't imagine windows overclocking being nearly as efficient as bios OC.
No, its just one fan. The heat sync is supposed to be more efficient than the normal one, and my case has great air flow. Check out the case if you like... I haven't had any issues keeping my current one cool. the current one is generally in the 55C-60C range during BF3 game play. The next card(s) I buy will be a little different though. These have the fan in the middle so the case fans its blowing some of the cards own hot exhaust back on itself. They have cards that have the fan on the end of the card and that would be much more efficient for my case.with only cool air blowing over the cards heat syncs. lol thats kind of confusing to read... so if you need a diagram to better explain just ask and i'll draw something up.
