A Crowbar is a Melee Weapon, Not Bling for Your Back!!
The thought of smashing a zombie's head in with a blunt force object, a katana, or a crowbar is as infectious as the disease we play against. However, in application the majority of people who grab a melee at the beginning of a round never use it leaving people like Gonzo, Duck, Ash, among others who are dependent upon melee weapons at a severe disadvantage. Gonzo and Duck are particularly good at fending off SI with melee weapons especially chargers (Duck) and hunters (Gonzo) both of us also lack the gun skills to keep hordes off us without a melee back up.
The purpose of this thread is a simple one, a well placed melee weapon can change the efficiency of your entire team so when your in the saferoom choosing weapons allocation of melee, throwable, and main weapons are key. Let's talk about effective combinations and learn how each of us plays with different weapons and different group roles.
Your Obese Quacker,
Duck

Never ever run a long distance with your melee out. Too many people try to use it as their primary weapon. I only use my melee when I know the SI attack is down. Your not going to be any help to your team if your using your melee when an attack is still up. Use your primary weapon to clear the attack and then pull out your melee and start clearing off your horded teammates. The horde only lasts for so long so once the majority is cleared the team should be back peddling forward clearing the remaining common and the front SVs should be clearing the common in the next area/anticipating where the SI are setting up.
