I don't know if you can return to pawn shops(Never been into one/near one lol) but if you can I would, either that or re-pawn it or however that works. you *might* be able to find cheap codes on ebay or something but again, I don't know lol.

It's unlikely you'll be able to do anything with a pawned copy. The cd key has already been used and tied to another person's steam account.

Just get on steam and buy the game there. It should be 20 dollars or less. I know that's not what you want to hear, but once a game is registered to a steam account, you can't register it anywhere else.
