    I had the same problems. I updated my graphics driver and it solved my prob.

    Get a Jar of Mayo
    Get a Knife
    Go to CD-Drive
    Insert knife with mayo on it
    Problem fixed

    Just wanted to chime in that I had the latest drivers (nvidia 178.24) and it was freezing up on me.

    I did the mat_queue_mode 0 code and it fixed the problem beautifully!

    I typed "mat_queue_mode 0" in the console and it said "Unknown command: mat_queue_mode". What am I missing?
