This is great and all but it's just like microsoft word. I can't copy/paste what i write into my steam settings. Wont let me. If i do it just reverts it back to normal letters.

fyi in the character map, a way to key each symbol appears in an info box. Like alt+0180 is a blank space.

I don't even know what that means. So anyways why can't i copy paste it into my steam settings username? How did other people do it?

note that when using ascii key codes, such as those listed above, you hold down the alt key, and (ON THE NUMBER PAD, not the top row numbers above the q-w-e-r-t-y-u-i-o-p keys) press the sequence of numbers while holding down alt. When you are done, and release alt, it will add the symbol for the chosen code to whatever you are typing in. Steam should be no different.
