Thread: Ghost tank

The weirdest thing happened to me the other day when I was trying to get the "what are you trying to prove?" achievement with 3 other friends. I was on dead air at the part where you lower the dumpster with the crane. When the dumpster got closer to the edge, I ran ahead of my friends, jumped and got on. I climbed to the top and "poof" a tank spawns inches from my face. He punches me and I go flying off the edge to my death. He then jumps down and proceeds to massacre all of my teammates. Then after finishing off the last of my teammates, he just disappears into thin air. WTF happened? This was on the 360 version by the way.

Clearly his job was done and he had to go on to other games, ridding the world of the evil survivors.

But seriously, that sucks. By "poof" do you mean he just materialized out of nowhere? Or did he spawn behind something really close to you?

Man, it's like Pac-Man, you gotta eat a power pill before you go after the ghost tanks.

(That is seriously WTF. Closest thing I've had happen like that was when a horde spawned in the closet on NM4 by the elevator as I walked into it. Crazy stuff. Maybe the AID thought you were skipping the crescendo event and thus spawned a tank. Only thing I can think of.)

Thats nothing compared to a invisible tank. Sure it was only invisible on my side, client. But man was that scary. Finale, tank appears, you scream into your mic "WTH IS IT?!?!" and you get swiped over and over again panicking...

I think the ghost thing happened to me yesterday and right at the same part. I crawled up the ladder and i turned around to see my teammates, before i know it my screen shakes and i go flying into the distance.

Everyone is screaming, "was that the tank?, where is the music and where is it?" They crawled up the ladder and there was no tank in sight. They go onto the other roof section and there was a dead tank.

Same thing happened to me. I was watching the Crane lower and as it was about to stop a Tank just Spawns out of mid-air on top. I was like "WTf!" Luckily, I was on Easy mode.
