Blacklist
What do you guys think of a forum blacklist? Now, I suggest this loosely, primarily because it could be easily taken advantage of by those less mature that the masses.
Example: You're playing through a VS game, gotten halfway through, and for whatever reason, one of your teammates leaves and is quickly replaced. New guy here, upon round start, blasts all teammates in range to death, or at least incap...all the while the Infected team is just going WTF...open the door.
Example: Campaign mode, same result, FF abound, usually blatant.
Example: Mic spammers (music playing, screaming, whatever), exploiters, anyone just not pleasant to play with.
I had been thinking of throwing this out there for some time, and just saw a thread in 'Off Topic' entitled 'Players to avoid' and thought this was where the OP was going with it, but he wasn't...so, I threw it up here.
Ideally, this list would obviously host the names of idiots people have been forced to play with, their offenses, and maybe a screenshot if possible. Some possible pitfalls of the idea would be those that just want to be an ass and nominate someone they don't like, or someone that beat them. Also, I'm not sure if there's any actual way to avoid people you don't want to play with, so most would probably just have to commit the serious offenders names to memory. Server owners might be interested in STEAM ID logs.
Just a thought...as I know there are a few people I'd never like to see again in game...maybe I'll just write them down personally.
Thoughts?

A follow up to that wall of text would be: Yes.
A blacklist sounds like nothing but trouble. People with same names, people adding names out of spite... There are just too many things that can go wrong with it. And just how helpful is it? With the tens of thousands of left 4 dead players out there - the couple we catch will be unlikely to be seen again. And this is assuming that people don't change their names when they go on trolling sprees.

But that means that 1) only servers full of forum members will be allowed to blacklist anything, 2) There is no actual way to confirm that everybody who was in-game at the moment agreed to the blacklist.
I don't know... I fail to see the purpose of such a thread aside from starting a hateful witchunt, and see too many issues with it to support the idea. But, I suppose if you think it necessary you should try and give a beginning to the list.

Heh, whilst anyone who's played with me will probably confirm that I'm not the greatest player to have walked the earth, I can confirm that the Target Practice you played with wasn't this one, Kagato... I never make it that far.

Why punish people for teamkilling/or being bad or new to the game?
TKing = we all have or want to do it.
It's part of the game, even if it's a negative, it's always going to happen and a blacklist won't do anything but cause hassles. Plus people are trying to organize the blacklist, are back checking steamID's and such, it's just a lot of work for nothing.
Now if this was a competitive forum, and the game had huge amount of hacks, then yes it would probably be something to consider.

I would like to punish TKers, mainly because this is Co-op game. If you want to kill people, go play Counterstrike. I've had several good games that have been completely ruined by some jackass suddenly going postal with an Autoshotty - either he kills you and you have to start again from the last saferoom (losing any chance you had at getting Stand Tall, Unbreakable or Safety First) minus the idiot you just kicked, or he fails, you kick him in time, but you've usually got at least one player down and another in a bad way.
This means you'll either have to use vital medikits healing, or worse still, have to desperately struggle through on next to no health. What gives those idiots the right to ruin mine and two others' game? It's not like TF2 or Unreal Tournament where 'oh well, what a douche' and then respawn. Sometimes it can take 20 minutes to get to the point you were at when that idiot attacked you.
As much as I'd love to find a way of punishing these fucktards, it's not possible for the community to do - some kind of 'reputation' system needs to be included in the game, detailing the frequency with which players finish games they start, their friendly fire percentage, the number of players they have incapped due to friendly fire, and a user-assigned rating system. It's not hard, and would improve the game experience immensely.
