L4D Update Through System Link?

Hello, I am new to the forums here and I would like to waist no time in trying to figure out this problem I have here. I basically live up on a mountain so I don't get good internet offered up at my house, so I was thinking it would be fun to system link xbox's and play Left 4 Dead.

I know the other xbox that I am system linking to has been updated through xbox live, so it has the latest patches like the whole thing where you can only unsnag a survivor from a smoker until you either kill the smoker or wait until the dragged survivor comes to a complete stop, stuff like that. So, my first question is: Am i going to be able to get that patch when we system link? and, if I can't get the patch then am i going to be able to play system link with that xbox?

I hope to recieve replys as soon as possible so I can do some planning, thank you.

Not sure about system links, but I also live in the middle on nowhere on a big hill and I have Verizon DSL, and it's pretty reliable. Maybe Hughesnet or Dish Network? (I have Dish and they've been running TV ads about a new satellite internet service like Hughesnet)

I have hushes net but I have a 200 mb download limit so...

ah. Have you checked Verizon DSL? I get unlimited access for $15/month. Got a special, so I don't know if they still do that. Regular price was a little less than $20, and I can play my games with no lag, provided the computer isn't being used for a more complex site like myspace.
