Frequent crashes in lobby.

Left 4 Dead keeps crashing in the versus lobby. Happens about 80% of the time. Nothing seems to trigger it. It locks up with full people, only a couple people, and while searching for a game. It does not crash to desktop everything just stops moving and I have to end task to get out of it. Then about 2-5 minutes later I randomly get a BSOD. I find this rather troublesome because I have never had a BSOD on my computer before this. I am using the steam downloaded version of L4D and I have reinstalled it 3 times to no success.

Any help would mean a lot to me as I have been searching for a solution since I bought the game the day it was released.

System Specs:

Windows Vista 64
Intel Quad Core 2.40GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 280 overclocked (i had this same problem on my 8800 ultra)
2 gigs of RAM

Its been happening a lot lately so its not just you...

As in for advice... all i can say is just try over and over again. Its not u its them.
