Valve gets rid of DRM
Valve has found a secure way around DRM (digital rights management). It will let you have copies of a single game you have bought on multiple computers.

valve have done so much, not just for gamers but for the gaming industry as a hole. Steam is wonderful i remember when i first heard hl2 was gonig to use steam i was like wtf are they thinking im going to need an internet connection for a single player game that sounds dumb. But it was the best thing they ever did aside from making hl1. ID software should take note of how a company should be. valve make a game that is great to play and not just a game engine. (all ids games have been poor since quake 2) They provide support to the fan base encourage modding and think up new ways of playing (crytek should take note)
