Darkness error.
This is my first time posting on these forums so please forgive me if I do not follow exact protocol. I have an error with L4D that has plagued me since I've downloaded it. I have searched through forums to find answers but it has lead to no avail. When I first load into a game be it single player, campaign, or versus my graphics are extremely dark. I have noticed that when people leave an online game the brightness goes to what I should be at, also "Take a break" on campaign will fix the darkness as well. I have tried fooling with all of the video settings and nothing helps. I will attach my DxDiag and hopefully someone will have an answer as to why this is happening and possibly a solution.

There's no protocol for posting a glitch here. You find a problem and you post it, then demand someone give you a solution... or else.
I've had problems like this on other games before and I solved it by playing with the gamma setting to brighten it up. Not sure if that will work here, though.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The problem is not the gamma. There seems to be triggers which make the brightness go to what it should be. These triggers are going idle and people leaving an online game. I was reading a forum last night where someone had a similar issue where if he had gotten boomed on his screen would go dark as hell and the only known solution was to go idle or restart L4D.
