Thread: Cant join games with guest

every time i try to join a game in progress with a guest profile active it goes to to loading screen for the campaign for less then a second and then goes to the main menu loading screen and back to the main menu and say "disconnected". i can join lobbies but then when the games starts the same thing happens. it does it for versus, campaign and when i start my own lobby. i have restarted the xbox and logged in and out several time with no helpful results. when i am alone i can get in just fine.

at first i didnt think it was unusual because, for whatever reason, i get disconnected a lot while already in matches and its defiantly not my internet connection. it runs perfectly fine i usually run WoW with never really more then 150 latency.

Sorry to say it, but i'm pretty sure it's a problem wtih your connection. I've played online with a guest fine, and have never had a problem otherwise. If WOW works it may be related to your xbox's connection to you router. Since you connected it is unlikely a problem with your settings, so it may be either a damaged cable (if it is a cabled network) or somthing interfearing with the signal if it is wireless (either a weak connection if the wireless router is far away or magnetic interfearance), Alternativly, i've heard about ISPs intentionally embuggering network traffic from certain ports (to prevent filesharing and such) but may be doing that to your xbox live, tho unsure why. If it does work to an extent without a guest then it may just be because there is less network traffic on you own, but a guest is too much for it to handle.

oh yeah i guess that makes sense, cant play with a guest when theres 2 computers running online games in the other room. i just thought it might have been the disc because for some reason it started saying weird things 2 days ago, which is when the problem started. now, for whatever reason, when i press X to pick up weapons or ammo or health it says "i'm reacting". and when i open or close the safe room door it says something in a voice i cant understand.
and it hasnt been playing other audio files right. its like not playing music when it should and the game i just played had very quiet audio. all i could hear were gunshots but they were hardly noticeable. its not my TV and its not the master or music volume in the game, all are at full and other sound from the 360 works

I've had the same problem too when trying to play online with a guest on my xbox. I don't have connection problems with any of my other games like COD or when I play my ps3. I've noticed when I try to join games online with a guest for some reason it always finds other games with guests as opposed to when I play alone I usually end up with other solo players. Could it be it might be some kind of server error when it tries putting two many people into the same game at a time? And a kind of auto-disconnect. I admit though other times when it lets you join a full game it just throws you into spectator mode with you friend (guest).
