    I can't join games online!!!

i can host games and people can play with me but i cant join them port forwarding didnt I join at the lobby and it doesnt load says error of connection failed after 10 retries and boots me from loading screen. Even worse, then when i hosted games the screen loaded with their names but when it loaded the ai was in their place, it booted them when i hosted. I reinstalled the game and last night i was able to host a game, but i still can't join. I may have joined 1-3 games at first the first time i installed it but now it won't work and im afraid i won't be able to host again either after so many tries or in time. If its possible i port forwarded wrong idk how because i followed all the instructions and i tried to set a static ip but it says the ports arent open but maybe the port forwarding isnt the problem if it is can you please tell me how to do it right Thanks in advance, please help.

First, when you run all your sentences together, it is really hard to read and figure out what the problem is.

Are you saying that you can host a game and your friends are able to join your game, but if your friends try to host a game, you can't join them?

The person who is hosting the game is the one who has to forward a port on your router/firewall. If you are just trying to join someone else's server, you don't need your ports forwarded.

If you want to check to make sure that you have the port opened correctly, simply start the server and make sure it is up and running. Then go to Open Port Check Tool, and put in 27015 in the port box and click Check. It will tell you if that port is correctly forwarded or not.

If you don't have a static IP set up on your own PC, and you want to check what your IP is, Click on Start>Run, and type in CMD to bring up a command line. Type 'IPCONFIG /ALL" and look for the IP of your network connection. It will probably start with 192.168.x.x, or something similar. That is the address that you forward the port to. If your IP address has changed, and you don't change the port forwarding properly, then people will not be able to join your server.

Does that answer any of your questions?
