its alot more realistic. And instead of meleeing survivors when a smoker grabs them, The only way to save them should be to kill the smoker or cut the tongue with the knife.

I actually like this idea, it makes a lot of sense. Though getting rid of melee with weapons seems kind of mean, unless they start with a melee weapon.

I think they originally wanted it just to have a basic set of weapons, the game it's self is really fun given the game is pretty bare bones.

Not too much like RE series, lots of zombie games have knives for weapons!

I only meant it would be cool and exciting when it first comes out because people would probably spam THAT instead of melee and might be a little easier to get them as infected.
