semi-officaly because her nerves havent completely turned off and she can still feel pain or she hasn't completely lost her sanity and realises shes infected until you startle her then her infected instincts kick in

you cr0wn with a shotgun not the hunting rifle.

Go up to her, push into her until you can't move forward any more, wait until she stands up, and make sure your crosshair is covering as much of her body as possible, basically aim directly at her torso. Then shoot. Contrary to popular belief it can be done with a pump shotgun as well as an auto shitty.

I find it easier to cr0wn when crouching.

No need to worry about her even standing up. You can crown her then and there without crouching or waiting for her to do anything. If you're having a problem crowning the witch try focusing on the lines of your cross hair. If the inside of each side is touching the witch then your more then garanteed a crown with a shotty, that is if you're on normal. After a while though with enough practice crowning the witch can be like riding a bike lol. If you've ever gone to the developer commentry in L4D1 you can practice crowning the witch from that. If you go to the sewer part of No Mercy at the end theres a dialog about the witch as it also spawns the witch. The best part about this is the witch won't attack you besides the bots so if you miss crowning her then she'll just go for one of the bots instead.
