Will my graphics card work?

I asked geeksquad at bestbuy and the dude didnt know anything. Anyway...I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700. It has 256mb total memory. I also have 2gigs of ram and a 2.2 ghz AMD processor. Will Left 4 Dead work on my machine and how well will it run?

thats the old agp card right? i do not belive it will work for l4d and if it does you would get horrid fps and when a horde came would prob crash

Go to Can You Run It and it will tell you if you system is sufficient or not.

Minimum specs are:

Processor: 3gHz single core/2.0gHz Dual core
RAM: 1GB/2GB for Vista
Video Card: 128MB with support for DirectX 9.0c and Pixel Shader 2.0 (ATI 9600/GeForce 6600 or higher)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible

If you system DOES manage to run the game, you won't like it.

Anyways, probably not. Your graphics card is way out-dated. At minimum I think you need a 6600 to run L4D smoothly. You can pick up a 7600 for $30-$40 if you search for it and that works really well for its price.

Just be aware that even if you DO upgrade your video card, your CPU is not up to minimum specs either. Again, it may run but you may not like it.

Time to upgrade...

You'll be able to run it but not at High setting. Low Settings at 800x600 is all you'll get with that card. Upgrade to one of these-
Maxed Graphics 9600GSO (8800GS)
Medium Graphics 9600GT
