Thread: Expert Toned down?

Hi, I played L4d on release and only played expert, then took a break. Now I'm back and I brought some friends who are new to the game all together. I see patches were made to the game did they tone expert down??

OK fine, so you say no. But wtf then, I checked it's on expert and just me and a friend and he's playing for the FIRST time with 2 NPCs and we are kicking the shit out of the game. Help me out whats wrong? I mean on no mercy where you hit the lift button to get to the roof I used to have to throw the Pipe to make it to the window and now you don't need to. What about the when your in the window and guarding the hole in the floor and they come at you from two directions just us two without NPCs who were dead already beat the entire wave off just by beating them back till they died?? No shots? Come on. When we came out of the man hole to the base of Mercy hospital there was like 10 guys?? That's IT? No mercy is going to take us like 1 hour on expert or less? Any ideas?

He gave a legitimate answer and you reply like that? It means exactly what it says, the AI director controls things. Sometimes you'll get a lot of commons and random shit, sometimes you won't.

You realise we only have to pay to play online 'cuz of all the extra stuff we get...

Anyway I'm sure you would've noticed by now that every play through of a level has been almost entirely different to the one before?

Common Infected weren't bothering you since the AI was probably lazy on you. While the SI was maybe the same but not interested in you two so they went after the Bots instead.
