I've set up an xbox and played l4d on my 64" LCD tv. It looks ugly, even when using the HD setup. It had rough edges and was an ew look. Much better looking on PC.

1-5 for items, you don't even need to look to press the buttons. When you learn the keyboard, it's fast.

    wasd for movement
    q for quick weapon switch
    e for use
    r for reload
    space for jumping
    mouse for shooting and hitting.

Five fingers, five buttons Plus the mouse is a shit load more accurate than a joystick. We get the fast twitch ability that xbox lacks

Those are the basic controls. We don't have to take our hand of off anything like you do in xbox. We can select our items without having to sit in one place while we do so, leaving us open for a big hunter pounce, or tank, etc. We can reload and continue to turn while xbox has that split second of looking one way
    Hey hey.

10 years of FPS, have ALWAYS used arrow keys. Gives separation from other keys for movement, allowing number pad and ins/del/etc for other commands, ctrl for jump, mouse buttons for reload etc. WASD is too crowded and too easy to get muddled.

I have never owned a console....

Loads of people I Know have gotten the 'Red Ring Of Death' which you can either fix yourself or if you have a warranty send it off to microsoft.

Basically your xbox kills itself. I've never had it, which is strange because I got my xbox when it came out. I'm sensible though, do everything I can to keep it from working too hard and overheating.

FPS started in the PC, and I played my first FPS game (Quake) on the PC. Up to this day I still play FPS games on the PC, I never stopped. Yes I finished HL:Ep1, Ep2 and Portal on the 360 but I feel much skilling with a mouse and keyboard rather than a controller. I own a lot of consoles, the PS1, PS2, PSP, XBOX and X360 but I never had much fun playing with FPS games on those systems.

Also since I'm living in a place where internet cafes (dubbed computer shops and are dominated by 3 year olds playing GTA) are in every street and where 5 year old technology is considered exceptional, I think playing on the PC saves more money than playing on consoles. New console games costs more than PC games, go figure.

PS, I don't have a 5-year old PC. I had one but I gave it to family long ago, I just built myself a Crossfire rig last Febuary and it rocks, can't live without it

I play it on 360 cause my friends have it and I don't have to deal with the douchebags and command abusers that the PC has, I bought it on PC and never play it cause I only have few friends, who live in different countries, to play it with and I'd prefer to hear Louis going "p-p-p-p-p-pills here TANK TANK TANK TANK *Death Scream*"

Also to Mr. Cow about the fast twitch ability. I can do that on a joy stick, it's nothing I couldn't pick up after a few months of playing xbox, which is about 4 times quicker than it took me to be able to do it on PC.

Playing the PC version, but its hooked up to my 50'' Plasma. Thinking about getting the wireless receiver for 360 controllers for use as a gamepad. After hours of playing on keyboard/mouse...my hand starts to cramp up
