Not sure what you mean by an xbox "remote" but if you're talking about the xbox wired controller....yes I knew that. I would like a wireless option though for an xbox controller on pc.

They come as wireless aswell ... I have two

Sorry to break it to ya bud but this is the same thing as a regular 360 controller. Just a marketing scheme. In either case... you still need this for wireless connectivity to your PC.

I'd only use a controller for the PC if I hook it up the TV.

yeah, i'm sure it has to do with how my setup is right now. I dont have a cordless keyboard or mouse so my options are pretty limited to how far back I can play from the TV. I usually have to put my keyboard on my lap and my hands get arched. I'm either down to spending $20.00 for the receiver to play wireless on a gamepad. Or spending more on a good combination of wireless keyboard/mouse.

Sweet! I play the xbox360 version on a 20" LCD tv.
