I think one of the big problems with vote kick is that although it appears to be a group decision, most times it is not. Usually when someone throws up a vote kick the rest of the team assumes that it is for a valid reason and goes along with it.

Now if it was made mandatory for the person initiating the vote kick to have to give a reason, say once they click the button a text box pops up where they have to type in a reason, it might help stop this. People will have an idea if the reason is valid or not and if no reason is given they can question why.
