Finale Scoring
Hey guys, I was over at the Steam forums and saw a very interesting thread which proposes a very good idea in my opinion and decided to pass it along the line, and seeing what this community thinks about it.
Rethink finale scoring for competitive play? - Page 2 - Steam Users' Forums
Basically - it's asking for a more decisive scoring calculator for the finale, in terms of distance. As is, If we make it to the Last tank/rescue vehicle, we get the same amount of points than a team who gets wiped out by the first tank.
At the very least I think that distance should be calculated to the rescue vehicle, not to pressing the button. For the most part, any decent team will be able to make it to call the rescue vehicle, basically making it so that if both teams die, the finale is virtually nonexistant/redundant.

Just on a snap response, I would have to point out that this would mean everyone would automatically set up camp on the docks (for example).
There might be an argument for how long you last, but I wouldn't be making it.
Your scores on the actual final itself might be even, but what if one team is looking to make up lost points from an earlier round.
To be honest, I don't really look at the scores; if the game was fun, I'm happy either way if I win or lose...

No, sorry if you misinterpretted what I said, I meant by distance in that, how many tanks you kill, determines your "distance" or scoring.
As is, if you kill all the tanks but die at the rescue vehicle, you get the same score as someone who died right as they pressed the button.
