New headbobbing? (or why it feels laggy for me since the update)
Since the update (new lobby system) yesterday, I had a weird sensation that the game was *very* laggy.
Trying to put my finger on the problem, I came to the conclusion that a very small amount of "headbobbing" has been added ("head bob" means your camera moves up and down a little when moving).
If this is true, this is a really bad idea, and I would really like to know how to disable it. Can anyone help/confirm/debunk ? Thanks!
How I came to that conclusion:
- Graphics feel choppy when moving
- I dont have this feeling when moving my mouse but not my caracter
- fraps indicates 57-60 fps, same as ever
- I only got this feeling since today
- When moving straight forward without touching the mouse, it does seem that the image moves up and down slightly.
Just a little headbobbing can really make you feel nauseatous after a while; I hate it and always disable it when I can.

I think this effect is called "Weapon Inertia" (I'M BANKING ON YOU CRYSIS WARS) and it's meant to simulate what happens when you actually run with a gun, and when you run with a gun you're actually meant to remove the gun from firing position, but i guess it'd be sort of hard to play if you had to hold up your gun each time you wanted to shoot after dropping it to your waist while running.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]You know, that's a good question. Why AM i so serious?
