Newbie Question

I just bought Left 4 Dead but I did'nt get the "game of the year" edition. A guy at the store said that all the extra stuff you get with the GOTY edition can be downloaded.

Can someone tell me what I need to download and where so I'll be up to speed with the Game of the year edition?

I think there are only five maps that came with my game.

If I remember correctly, the PC version comes with survival. If not, there should be an option to download it when you load the game & are at the main menu. It's the Xbox version you need to download, which is free anyway.

The 4 maps are: No Mercy, Death Toll, Dead Air, & Blood Harvest. I wouldn't call Last Stand a "map".

You were smart getting the normal one. The "Game of the Year" edition is a rip off.

1. Good for you for saving $10! lol, thats just awful how they sell teh goty edition for $10 more when the dlc is free anyway.

2. Im assuming you have steam already - and if so, the dlc & survivor mode should already be downloaded after as you install l4d (steam updates the game automatically).

-SO you dont need to download anything, really. Just install the game and play.
