Suck the fun dry?
Whats so fun about melee spam?
One of the biggest reasons i stopped playing campaign is because i found melee spam boring. You and everyone else can just do it the way it was meant to be played. You know, bullets!
The funniest thing I always hear about expert campaign in L4D is it would be impossible without melee spam. Well, thats kind of the point. It should only be played by true experts, not melee spammers with no guts or skill.!!!WiCkEd VOooOdooooO TerRrroRR!!!

Nothings wrong with melee. But being able to run down hordes of zombies with nothing more than and axe or frying pan is zombie bullshit.
As in the orginal L4D, being able to cuddle in a corner and shove hundreds of zombies to death on expert is even bigger zombie bullshit. Being able to run from spot to spot spamming melee is boring....
But i have no problem with any melee timer because i only use melee once or twice before shooting anyways. You know, the way they intended it to be used.!!!WiCkEd VOooOdooooO TerRrroRR!!!

I think Sinn's post pretty much nailed it, but I don't think the people wishing for the removal of fatigue (in SP) are a bunch of idiots here. As far as I can tell, their concern is that expert might be too difficult with MF. But then I would say, why not adjust the various difficulties around the existence of MF?
Balancing any game, especially at its most challenging, around a lame, mindless tactic is just poor game design. And for those saying advanced was too easy compared to expert, that just means Valve needs adjust the difficulty curve.
What I'm getting at is we should have some faith in Valve to make each difficulty appropriately challenging without having to resort to allowing melee spamming. Especially considering MF has been around for a while.

But what you don't understand is: There is no melee fatigue with melee weapons! So that basically nullifies the timer with the gun. Camp in a corner, except with melee weapons instead of guns.
"BUT CHUCK! Theres friendly 'fire' (for lack of a better term) with melee weapons and the spitter will prevent camping!"
Split into groups of two, one person crouching, one standing up. If a spitter comes, move to a different corner.
Rocket Science
People will find a way around the system, they always do.
And since every dumbtard is going to pick up a melee weapon, even when the pistol is a better choice, this will be a problem.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
