What were the special infected before they were zombies?

Personally I think the person's past life has something to do with the mutations. Like the smoker, in their past life they had or were going to have lung cancer at one or some point, and therefore mutated into what they are. With the boomer, they loved to eat and therefore the virus took control of their stomachs. The witch was probably on her period when she got the virus and that's why she's the way she is. The hunter was probably just a robber who wore hoodies to hide their loot. The tank was probably someone who took steroids at least once in their lifetime. As for the special infected in L4D2 with them being even more unique I can't come up with an idea on why they are who they are. :\ I'll edit this post once I come up with something...

Because the Church Guy got infected and was in the process of changing. When you open the door finally he has become an infected at that point.

I don't think they had any back-story on the SI. They are just mutations of common infected. So he has an equal chance of becoming any of them.

Eh... The spitter's already got the hooker thing down. The witch just seems like an everyday teenage girl who hasn't bathed in 2 months and just got dumped by their boyfriend because of it.

these are just my ideas of what they once were.
share yours, lets see if we can find some logical answers

(another idea) Witch- was a child who grew up without parents or a home and was always beat up.

( another idea) Hunter, was a gangster that always whore a hoodie, jumping people, and got caught by the police by getting pepper sprayed in the eyes.

Charger- a lonley farmer who jerked off too much.

Spitter- a stripper who drank too much

Jockey- hard to tell, obliously a jockey who liked to pull on peoples heads.
