Help playing custom map over steam
Hi gang,
My buddy and I have been making a custom campaign for a couple months. We’ve been having serious trouble testing it together.
What we’re doing is:
I load the map up in the console.
He doesn’t see my game in the server list, or even that I’m in a joinable game.
He manually connects using the IP found in the game info.
It tries many times but fails without error message.
*******
We have the same BSP & NAV (not sure we both need the nav)
I can get everything working fine over LAN
I have my ports forwarded, I believe I’ve done it right.
How do I get this working?
Are there console settings that need tweaking? Please help so we can release some cool maps to the community.
Cheers

I assume you've set in the configs
sv_lan 0
sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0
If it's not accepting connections from the internet (but LAN is ok) it's probably a port forwarding or software firewall issue.
Also if you want, I don't mind sticking the map on one of the =SM= servers if you want to test it out
