My game mode idea: Tank Survival

'8 Survivors and a number of Tanks; What would you do to survive?'

Okay basically there are 8 Survivors (Rochelle, Coach, Nick, Ellis, Zoey, Bill, Louis and Francis) and you start off with one Tank? Easy right? Yes. Once you kill that the players that survive go through to round 2 with two Tanks, and you have to, along with the others kill those, then whoever survives go through to the next round, etc...

You each all have lets say... 2 Health Packs each for the whole mode, so 16 health packs are layed out, and more pills dotted around and molotovs, Ammo Packs, etc... and you have 1 minute to prepare for each round, so you can fill up your ammo, get a different gun and heal up in that time.

But as more Tanks come team work starts to deteriorate and you can help teammates, defend yourself or maybe run off and hope that once the Tanks kill all your team mates, etc... by the time they get to you they would have died. Or maybe they catch up with you have a team mate with you, the Tanks attack your team mate but you choose to escape and run.

Obviously I know there aren't anymore game modes but this is just an idea.

So it's impossible to even get passed 6 rounds... nice.

The setting would be easy so each person would be able to kill a Tank if they are good Left 4 Dead players so you could get at least past 8 Levels AND more if you shoot from a distance/shoot and run/hide/help teammates/help yourself/etc...

This is even with 8 Survivors and 16 healthpacks/pills, it's near impossible to get passed 6 or 8 rounds. Two Tanks VS 4 Survivors is tough shit as it is, 8 vs 8 is near hell. I imagine without other CI/SI it could be somewhat easier, yet it's still a bit ridiculous.

It wouldnt have Special Infected/Common Infected, just Tanks.

Well if it was for Left 4 Dead 3 it could have 12 players vs. 1 Tank, then 2, Then 3, etc...

While I do sort of like your idea, whether I previous stated it or not, and I highly doubt Valve will include old characters in any other sequel (if they make another L4D), I think the idea is a little far fetched.

inb4 PC players say "Use console commands".
