L4D on Windows 7 64-bit?
Trying to run L4D on an HP Pavilion Slimline with an Intel E5300 2.60ghz Dualcore, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and an integrated GPU. Computer is brand new, but L4D gets around 10 FPS, maybe 3-5 FPS when the screen is busy. Is this a problem with the OS, and can I fix it?
PS: Setting left4dead.exe for XP SP3 compatibility mode renders it unlaunchable from Steam, producing the "This game is currently unavailable" error.

Most integrated CPUs work very poorly with L4D. I kind of doubt that it is OS related, but I suppose it is possible.
I assume you have your graphics settings set to low?
You can try deleting your VIDEO.TXT file in your CFG folder and let it recreate and see if that helps.
If it were me, I would get another video card that is PCI Express (or whatever slot you have) compatible. You can get a fairly good card now for under 100 bucks. Onboard video sucks.*********************************

I understand. But, we have had numerous people post here saying the same thing, their other Valve games run fine, but L4D doesn't. It is my opinion that L4D and L4D2 just are more graphic intensive than the other games. So, I really don't know what to tell you.
Have you read through THIS?*********************************
