    L4D2 Graphics Wont Initialize

    So I just bought L4D2 from Steam, downloaded and installed just fine. I've been trying to run it but the game boots up, stays as a black screen but I can hear all the audio...

    I even have Fraps displaying my fps in a corner and it shows the FPS of the current window. On what sounds to be the intro movie, I get 23 fps and the menu I'm running 60fps. What could be causing this?

    I've also verified the file contents on steam and have tried running it in windowed mode as well..

    For that particular video card, you are probably better off to roll back to the 178 version driver, the newer versions are known to be buggy.

    You can also try deleting the VIDEO.TXT file in your CFG folder and let it recreate itself.
