Players with Special characters in name shown as Squares?

Question.... how can I fix this, people with alot of "special" characters in there name most of them display as a Square in game instead of the special character, I can see what it says in friends list etc just in game its messed up any ideas?

I am not aware of any way around this. This type of problem has existed for over a decade. Special characters have caused gamers problems in all kinds of games.

Maybe someone else knows or has an answer.

The boxes are the result of that player having their name in a language not installed or recognised by your computer, for exampe, my computer shows Japanese writing as boxes as well.

Solution - just find somewhere you can download different languages. It should work. If not, i'm stumped.

EDIT : wow, reading fail. I just assumed they were all boxes like that, not just in your friends list. But if it was, that would have worked
