Thread: Broken Stats

Has anyone else come across this problem?

My Versus stats are way off. As of this post it states that I've completed 100 out of 118 Versus matches. There is no way in hell I've completed that many matches. The game is counting matches that I've been kicked from, quit from or have been disconnected from as completed matches.

I've also noticed that there is a constant 20 game difference in my win/lose ratio (currently 40 Won to 60 Lost)

Further more my weapon stats are off, saying that I haven't used certain melee weapons that are necessary to complete the Club Dead Achievement (which I have)

I sent out a support ticket to Steam, to which I got this response:


Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue.

We are aware of the problem and are investigating the issue further.


The support ticket was then closed. Gee thanks Steam Support.

If anyone else has this issue please let me know, and let Steam know too so they can fix it.

LOL! Yes this only applies to the PC version.

There was a problem with achievements very early after release, but I -think- that's been fixed, and that's probably what Steam Support assumed you were referring to when they skimmed your ticket while hovering over the "Resolve Issue/Close Ticket" button. (I was grateful not to have to do that bastard Guardin' Gnome again; eventually the achievement came back). As for stats, I've noticed a few oddities as well...

Well, I went to go take a look in Steam to give some examples ... but when I go into my L4D2 stats now, I get "This program cannot display the webpage." lawl.

From memory, it has me at something like 82 of 88 versus matches completed, which I know I haven't done. I don't know how it can keep track of every single shot you've taken with every weapon, ever, yet screw up things like games won/lost/completed.

Well at least now I know it isn't just me.

As far as the Steam ticket goes I specified that it wasn't regarding the earlier Achievement bug, so they know what I was talking about. I even reopened the ticket, and they just said they're aware and looking into it, then linked me to the update page.
