    Lightbulb Hanging Hunter idea

    Ok so after seeing the unused "hanging Hunter" picture I started thinking about how it could be (or could've been) used in the game.

    So basically there will be "hanging points" throughtout the maps, obviously on ceilings such as in warehouses and such. There will be up to 2 points per "building", but not in every building, to prevent spamming them. To get to these hanging points u either climb to them using an infected ladder, or wall jump towards the farther ones.

    Another thing that would be added is a "Hanging Meter", similar to the Tanks frustration meter, but will last depending on the Hunters health. If ur health is in green, u will be able to hang for 20 seconds before dropping, yellow 10 seconds, and red 5 seconds. When u drop from a point after the meter ends, it won't be a automatic pounce but just a drop to the floor.

    When hanging, the Hunter will be in a ready-to-pounce position, so he will constantly be growling, and screech when he sees the survivors.

    One last thing, to make things more fair, is that the maximum pounce damage from a successful "hanging pounce" is 20.

    So what do u guys think?

    Thats an alright concept but what would be the point? after a while the survivros would learn where these locations would be and be ready or just plain avoid the certain spots in general, and then the fact that he's always growling will give him away, people can tell if he's always at a certain point, they can wall himthrough the top of a door or somthing. I think that them being hidden in tree's or somthing would be better.

    I see what u mean, maybe if growls when there around or something? Ain't tryna make him super either lol

    As for the points, I was thinking like those metal bars that run along the ceilings, trees could be another thing, u know things like that, but not exactly a tiny "point" for everyone to hang from.

    What if there's a leval like swamp fever? where there's a lack of Visable Tree's, and buildings? Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not trying to flame or disprove you, but I'm just saying, would it be a new feature to the hunter or a whole new infected?

    No just a new ability, so in the case of that type of map, then it just won't be used lol

    I do wish the "hanging hunter" was a part of the game. I thought it would be, with the L4D intro video when Louis gets pounced... it would've been nice for L4D2 as well, since good pounce spots are far more scarce in the sequel.
