Thread: when campaign started to get old....

...I gave realism a try and damn what an experience.

I am 90% deaf so I cannot use a mic or hear the game sound effects. The first time I played it I got into a 1 on 1 battle with a hunter and ended up finally killing it about a minute later but by that time I couldn't see my teammates anywhere and of course can't hear them talking so there was no way to tell where they were. I'm going down the hall to make a left and realize they were already in that room before me. So i'm running through the map, avoiding any special infected that might show up, trying to find where the heck everyone went to and then found em all in the safe room waiting for me. Running through the level with no way of knowing where your teammates are is quite a challenge. I suggest you guys try it without sound. You'll get freaked when you find yourself in a dark hallway...alone.....and no idea where anyone is.

That sounds a bit mental might try that out hahahaha

That must be pretty scary!! Sounds like an awesome plan though to mix things up a bit, will definitely be giving that a go!

My friend has been trying to get me into that mode for weeks now and I've yet to play it much. It is hard to get me away from versus mode.

The few times I have played it I did really enjoy it. First time I played it I had a team mate get downed by a charger and found myself spinning around unable to locate him. Even after he told me his location I was unable to locate him because I was unfamiliar with the map. He ended up having to give me directions and I was able to save him just in time.

I'd love to see a realism versus mode..would really change the game!

I LOVE REALLISIM I mean like really, we were playing TP finnale and damn it was scary. It was on normal and we had literraly stuck together till we got to the tank about half way through the campaign. After we had killed it we had found out that on of the team got bitch slapped off the bridge by the tank and another of our team was on last life. We ran like hell on weels with adrenalin and the dude on last life died. The two of us ran like hell to the copter, not knowing where each other were when i made it to the copter my friend was waiting there and the tank was hot on my heels, he incapped me in the chopper and my friend lured him out of the chopper and died so that at least i made it out, incapped in the chopper.
