Thread: New to PC gaming, can I run L4D2 on this system?

Okay – I really want to run L4D2 on my system. But I have a very old PC, since I’ve not long gotten into PC gaming I haven’t ever needed to upgrade it to a ‘decent’ standard for that sort of thing. I will be getting a new PC by the end of the year with a much better setup for this sort of thing however I wanted to post my current setup to see if L4D2 would at least run on this PC. I can run TeamFortress2 – but I know there is a large difference in what the two games require. Here are my specifications as against the recommended minimum requirements for L4D2.

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 – Windows XP

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (2.20 GHz) – Pentium 4 3.0GHz

2.00 GB DDR2 RAM – 1GB for XP

ATI Radeon 9200 Series (9250) 128.0MB approx - DirectX 9 compatible video card with 128 MB, Shader model 2.0. ATI X800, NVidia 6600 or better

DirectX 9.0c – DirectX 9.0 compatible

More than enough HDD space
