Custom Campaign: Tour of Terror
Hi all -
Tour of Terror is a 5 level campaign based in modern day Eastern Europe. I am doing all of the level design/mapping by myself although a few people contributed some custom textures (I'll post full credits once done). In the future I will get a team together to speed things up, but thankfully it is getting very close to complete. Before working on this I made 3 Counter-Strike: Source maps which you can see on my website, along with older pictures for this campaign that show the early blocking stages.
The plan is to release for L4D2 only but I will adjust for L4D1 later if there is interest. Ignore the old characters in the poster mock-up below
Below are some screenshots and I will get video together in the near future. No images should be considered "final".
Thank you for looking. I can't wait to see it finished.

Hi again -
Lots of work has gone in since last posting
- more details
- lighting improvements
- environment audio placed
- fixed multiple bugs
- created 2 of 3 events and put the ground work in for the 3rd
- etc. etc. etc.
I'll get some more pictures up soon but it's almost at the point where I need to get some videos running as well
What's next?
- pathmaps
- complete final events
- make 1 more 3D skybox that the last 2 levels need
- finish weapon layout
I mentioned I would post credits...here they are:
- me (novalin): design, mapping, textures, etc.
- a few buddies supplied additional textures - Bolton, Teriyaki Style, and DarthWanka
Once again more images, including early blocking, are here:
DaNgEr FoRcE!!!
I'll let you all know when the Beta is out, shouldn't be much longer

The final event takes place in a train yard that is situated in a valley. This means the horde will spill in from the sides of the canyon edges as well as from various other angles like fences, behind trains, off of 2 opposite bridges, etc. This finale event is the only one I don't have hooked up yet (next on my list) but the idea is you wait for the train, run back on top of a bridge you came in on, then jump into the top of a train cart for rescue
